He was born in Baker, Oregon to James and Joella Dickerson and moved to Boise with his mother and sister Judy at the age of 8. He graduated from Borah High in 1961, attended Boise Junior College for a short time then the US Army called his number. He served as a rifle marksman in Vietnam and returned home in 1965. He worked for Monroe/Eagle Precast for 38 years, retiring in 2004.

Bill is survived by his wife Tami of 34 years, step children Ace Morrison, Kelly(Brian) Redmond of Laramie, their children James and Hannah, Jason(Brandi) Holt of Emmett, granddaughter Nicole (Robert) Edwards of Boise, their children Harper and Piper, granddaughter Bailey Dickerson, brother Dan Williams of Boise, sister Kay(Vernon) Nikada of Ontario, OR; brother Donny (Dort) Dickerson of Canada; brother Percy (Leslie) Dickerson of Baker City; step sister Nancy Endicott; step sister Mary Jo(Bob) Cowing of Emmett; step brother Mike (Donna) Higgins and many nieces and nephews including his namesake Willima Jane. Bill and Tami enjoyed dancing, traveling, and spending time with his large family. He especially enjoyed tending their small acreage and growing his garden. He was a good man who loved deeply and was loved, gruff on the outside, teddy bear on the inside, always ready to help anyone and will be deeply missed by many. Per Bill's wishes there will be no service. Love and hug your family closely.
