Wesly (Wes) George Wassmuth passed away on December 15 th , 2023, at home with his family, ending his fearless fight with cancer. Wes was born on June 13 th , 1960, in Englewood California moving around in his early years but settling in Boise in 1966. Living off Lake Hazel Rd. in the Log and Brick homes built from him and his family hands which still stands today next to Lake Hazel Elementary School.

Wes worked at Micron for 28 years, holding many positions through his tenure but the most important to him, and his longest time spent, was as a wire bond / die attach tool owner. In part, his efforts and contributions have made Micron what it is today. Finishing his career with CM Tech and Get Spares. He was able to meet great people all across the world. Traveling to Singapore, Tiawan, Hong Kong, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, and countless US destinations, all for work. He truly loved what he did and was sought out across the globe for it.

He was a creator and engineer at heart using his mind to build anything he could dream of, envisioning all the steps to completion before even starting them. Leaving a masterpiece built from his hands ready to endure the test of time.

As much as he loved creating things nothing got him more excited than BSU football. Getting to be in person for multiple Conference and Fesita Bowl Championship’s, you would regularly find him wearing BSU gear everywhere he went and being proud of it.

He lives on through his wife of 31 years, Leslie, who were married on 7/18/1992 at Municipal Park in Boise, and his sons, Mason, and Dustin. As well as his mother Ruth, sister Cheri, and brothers, Paul, and Neil.

Wes will be interned at Dry Creek Cemetery where his father, Paul, and wife’s parents are interned and in time will be the resting place of his wife and sons too.

Go Broncos!
