Waunda Jean Kibbey – Dec. 1, 2022
Waunda Jean Kibbey, 74, of Boise, Idaho passed away in the early hours of December 1, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Waunda was born and raised in Salem, Oregon, by her parents Raymond and Gloria Hoffman. Waunda found great joy as an active member of the Order of Eastern Star. She served as Worthy Grand Matron for the State of Idaho in 2017 and as Worthy Matron, of Adah Chapter #8, three times. She loved surrounding herself with her family and friends and doting on everyone around her. Waunda was a stranger to no one. Her ability to strike up a conversation with a complete stranger was legendary, much to the chagrin of her daughters.
Waunda is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 54 years, Harlow; her daughters Shannon of Boise and Sara and wife Christine of Easthampton, MA; three adoring grandchildren Jeremy Jr., Madisyn, and Lucas; brothers Gordon and wife Janice, and Bruce and wife Donna, all of Salem, Oregon and several cousins, a niece and nephews.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Sunday, April 16 at 2pm at the Scottish Rite building at 1407 W Bannock St, Boise, ID 83702.
