Vivenne L. Darden

Vivienne L. Darden, a cherished mother, grandmother, and beacon of love, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, in Nampa, Idaho, at the age of 86. With her sweet, loving, and kind spirit, coupled with a delightful sense of humor, Vivienne brought happiness and warmth to her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Born on March 17, 1939, Vivienne entered the world with a spirit destined to leave a lasting impact. Throughout her 86 years, she faced life’s joys and challenges with grace, strength, and purpose, turning each moment into an opportunity for growth and kindness.

Vivienne spent most of her life in Emmett, Idaho, where she owned a home that became a welcoming haven for her family. Her door was always open, and her heart even more so. In 2023, she sold her beloved Emmett home and moved to Homedale, where she continued to share her life and home with her son, Micheal Jacobsen. Vivienne devoted many years to the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, retiring after a distinguished career marked by dedication and care. She also practiced Reiki and massage therapy, offering her gentle, caring touch to those around her. Known for her moments of clarity and heartfelt advice, often laced with a playful quip that sparked laughter, Vivienne was a guiding light for her children and grandchildren.

Vivienne’s heart found solace in the company of her beloved animals, a testament to her deep compassion for all living creatures.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Jacobsen, Rocky Singleton and her daughter, Darla Singleton; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three brothers. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Laura Lee Rodgers Bassett, and her mother and father.

Graveside services will be held on May 30, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the Emmett Cemetery, followed by a funeral reception at Emmett City Park, across from City Hall, where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate her remarkable life.

Vivienne’s love, kindness, and humor will forever echo in the hearts of her family.
