Verna M. Scheline Estes was born March 22, 1962 and passed away at 62, on December 26, 2024. Verna grew up in the Boise Valley and eventually moved to small farm on the outskirts of Boise with her parents, Vernon and Betty Scheline, and began her life long love of everything horse related. She attended Meridian High School and graduated in 1980. Verna’s life revolved around and was devoted to kids. This devotion started with introducing her two nieces/daughters to horses and by being heavily involved and giving her time not only to her own kids, but to those kids in the local 4-H program. Kids and parents alike all have fun stories to tell about time spent with and growing up around Verna. Her passion to helping kids eventually evolved into teaching and working with kids that needed extra help in school at West Junior High School. Verna enjoyed playing cards and various games. She loved to travel and enjoyed her last cruise with her husband Levi. She spent time working with ceramics and painting rocks and was active with the Salvation Army Church. She also loved her family, especially the kids that called her Nana.
Verna is survived by her husband, Levi Estes, her nieces/daughters Elizabeth Shauntel Bourland (William) and Katie Ramsey (Tyler), grandkids Trinity Weatherby, Calvin Ramsey, and Abigail Ramsey, sister Donece Pederson and brother John Northover. She has gone on to rest with Parents Vernon and Elizabeth (Betty) Scheline, brothers Ross and Jim Northover, and Elizabeth (Beth) Weakley.
