Tina Marie Lancaster (Kondo), 53 passed away on August 11, 2023 after a heroic and always optimistic fight against cancer. She was born on February 16, 1970 and is survived by her husband Scot, her daughter Camille Kimiko Broski 23, her son Ian Junkichi Broski 19, step-daughter Alexia Lancaster 24, her mother Lois Kimiko Kondo, sisters Shawna Kondo and Darlene Kondo, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tina was born in Ontario, OR and grew up in Nampa, ID. She graduated from Nampa High School in 1988. Tina earned a full scholarship through swimming to both University of Nevada, Reno for her first year of college and then earned another full scholarship through swimming to Oregon State University, which she attended until graduation in 1992. Tina then went on to attend graduate school at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, CA where she completed her graduate work and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She completed her clinical rotation at Rose Medical Center in Denver, CO. Tina met Mike Broski in Mammoth Lakes, CA where she practiced as a physical therapist (DPT) and they married and had two children, Camille and Ian. Mike and Tina later divorced and Tina met her husband, Scot Lancaster in Boise, Idaho. Scot and Tina married in 2007.

Tina loved her family and friends and cherished each and every moment she spent with every single person. Tina had the unique ability to make every person feel loved and supported under any circumstances. She selflessly set aside time to spend with each of the people in her life. Tina was not only loved by everyone, but was also a high-level athlete, scholar, and culinary artist.  Swimming at the age of three, Tina didn’t stop for the following twenty years. She earned many awards through her young swimming career and her collegiate swimming career. Tina was responsible for changing the policy at Nampa High School that allowed swimmers to earn their athletic varsity letter. In addition to the hundreds of swimming ribbons, medals, trophies, and championships that Tina earned, she was also awarded the Oregon State University’s All-Time Letter in swimming. Even after graduating from OSU and COMP, Tina was highly sought after to compete in sprint triathlons, olympic triathlons, and half-ironman triathlons. Her team often won and always placed in the top three thanks to Tina coming out of the water either first or in the top three people, including all men and women. Tina was often noted by professors, friends, family, and colleagues for her eidetic memory. She could take a mental snapshot of anything she saw and could always remember everything about the image. Whether it was studying notes for an exam, reviewing client notes, or playing the card game, Memory, she always remembered everything. Tina loved to travel, entertain, go boating, go on Razr rides with Scot and Remy, train and play with her german short haired pointers, and most of all, loved living life to the fullest with friends and family. Dining at Tina’s house was always an incredible gift. Those who were lucky enough to dine with Tina and her family when she prepared a meal considered themselves blessed. Although many of us requested recipes from her, recreating her food was impossible. She had a natural talent and aptitude for elevating anything she touched, whether it was her family, friends, or food. Her strength, determination, boundless optimism, and never ending ability to hope were an inspiration to all of us. Her spirit lives on in the thousands of lives she touched. A service will be held at 11:00 am, August 25, at the Eagle Christian Church. A reception for close friends and family will be held at the church after the service.
