Susan Ward, born on February 22, 1963 in Hollywood, California, returned home to her Heavenly Father on October 21, 2021. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family at St. Luke’s hospital in Meridian, Idaho after fighting Covid for 25 days.
Susan JoAnn Ward was adopted at the age of three weeks by Thelma and Duane McQueen. Susan dedicated her life to helping others and living as a Christlike example. She worked for many years in the medical field as a front office receptionist, where she loved to care for her patients and make them feel comfortable. More recently, she spent her time working for the Nampa School District Family Community Resource Centers. There she served students and community members by helping them with whatever needs they had. In her off time, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and her beloved fur babies! In the last year, she developed an obsession with watching reruns of M.A.S.H. – she was in her third round of the entire series.
Susan was pre-deceased by her Father, Duane McQueen, her Mother, Thelma McQueen and her brother, Dean McQueen. She is survived by her husband, Ken Ward and their three daughters, Jessica, Ariel and Courtney. As well as her siblings, Alice Widdison, Alan McQueen, Dale McQueen, their spouses and her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and let’s not forget all of her friends and coworkers.
Susan’s favorite color was green, so we encourage anyone who would like to wear green to the funeral services to please do so.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:00 am with a visitation held one hour prior to the service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 9400 W Floating Feather Star, Idaho. Condolences may be left at www.bowmanfuneral.com.
