Steven Dale Wright, age 83, passed away on April 9, 2026, in Star, Idaho.
He was born on February 15, 1943, in San Francisco, California, to Richard and Elaine Wright.
After completing college, Steven proudly served in the United States Naval Reserve from 1964 to 1970. During this time, he demonstrated a deep commitment to his country. Following his military service, he began a successful career as an electrical engineer at Pacific Gas and Electric Company in California, where his expertise and diligence were highly valued.
Beyond his professional and military accomplishments, Steven had a passionate interest in collecting and restoring classic cars, with Buicks being his favorite. This hobby brought him great personal joy and allowed him to connect with fellow enthusiasts while sharing his extensive knowledge.
Steven is survived by his loving wife, Vicki, of 43 years, and his children: David (Marie) Wright of Fayetteville, NC; Glyndon (Monica) Wright of Eagle, ID; Jennifer (Edward) Collins of Santa Rosa, CA; Timothy (Claudia) Wright of Logan, UT; and Daniel (Lauren) Wright of Atwater, CA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Elaine Wright of San Francisco.
A private service will be held for family members to honor Steven’s life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or your local animal shelter.
Arrangements are being handled by Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City, ensuring that his final farewell is conducted with respect and dignity.
