Steven Wortman passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025. He was born in Ontario, Oregon, to Wes and Lola Wortman. Steve lived in California and Boise until he moved to New Meadows where he graduated in 1974. After graduating he worked for J.I. Morgan until he was accepted into the Local 296 Plumbers and Pipefitters Apprenticeship program, where he was a proud lifetime member. After retiring from Local 296, Steve went to work for the VA hospital until he retired in 2021.
Steve enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Terry, son, Toby (Kelly & Takoda), daughter, Stephanie (Kent, Keira, & Niah), and sister, Terrie Helmich.
Steve was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and papa who will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Local 296 Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Hall, located at 575 N. Ralstin, in Meridian, Idaho.
