Stephen (Steve) Tamburrino age 73, also known as Coach Tambo, peacefully passed away of a lung disease at his home in Eagle, Idaho on January 1, 2024. He was born on January 31,1950 in Torrance, California to Joan Marie Donahue Tamburrino and Alfonso Francis Tamburrino.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen Fallone Tamburrino of fifty-three years, their sons, Sean Tamburrino and Michael Tamburrino of Eagle, Idaho, their daughter, Stacy Marie Tamburrino Drenk of Huntington Beach, California, and their daughter in law, Kimberly Hudson Tamburrino of Mission Viejo, California. He is preceded in Heaven by their sons, Ryan and Scott Tamburrino.
Steve left behind six grandchildren and a plus one. He adored them all. They are Michael Stephen Tamburrino, Makayla Marie Tamburrino both of Star, Idaho, Isabella Mia Drenk, Scarlett Giuliana Drenk, Boston Leo Drenk all of Huntington Beach, California, Luca Scott Tamburrino and Cayson Hendrix both of Mission Viejo, California.
Mr. Tamburrino had a career as a high school English teacher and football coach for thirty years at Vista High School in Vista, California. He had much love for his students and many adored him and later became lifelong friends after he retired. His humor entertained everyone he met. He will truly be missed by many.
Funeral Services are at Holy Apostles Catholic Church in Meridian, Idaho on Friday, January 19, 2024. Father Vitalis Onyeama will be officiating.
A Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m., following with a Funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. and burial at 1:00 p.m. at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.
