Stephen Hlavach

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Hlavach, age 46, who departed this life on July 28, 2025. Born on August 21, 1978, Stephen was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, uncle, and a loyal friend to many.

Stephen is survived by his beloved wife, Sara Hlavach, and their children, Joseph and Larissa Hlavach, Loving Stepfather to Rachel and Maria Alonso who were the pride and joy of his life. He is also survived by his mother, Olivia Workman; his sister, Angeline Alhasi (Yaser); and his brothers, Chris Janes (Katie), Michael Hlavach (Tiffany), Joseph Hlavach (Courtney), and Geoff Hlavach.

He was a proud uncle to Cameron, Colin, Carter, and Caleb Janes; Brianna, Alex, and Kylie Hlavach; and Haneen, Abrahim, and Adam Alhasi. He also leaves behind his loving aunt, Anna Loesch (Richard), along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Hlavach; his grandfather, Stephen Hlavach; his grandmothers, Violet Urban and Joan Price; his aunt, Marietta Hays; and his cousin, Salvatore D’Amico.

Stephen will be remembered for his sense of humor and his remarkable gift to make us all laugh. His light-hearted spirit brought joy to every room he entered. Above all, Stephen’s love for his family will remain always—a legacy of warmth, laughter, and devotion that lives on in those who knew and loved him.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, funeral services will be private.
