Shirley Lynn Trevey Willmorth left this world peacefully on December 26, 2023, in Boise, Idaho, with loved ones by her side. She had a rich and fulfilling life of 84 years and will be missed dearly for her witty humor and her cheerful attitude.

Lynn was born on July 27, 1939, in Ontario, Oregon to James and Mildred Trevey and grew up in Weiser, Idaho with her brother Jim. After graduating Weiser High School, she moved to Caldwell and started working for the State of Idaho’s Department of Health and Welfare. She met Stanley “Stan” Willmorth, whom she married on October 23, 1959. They moved to Boise and had three children, then to Eagle to raise their family. Lynn retired in 1999 after 41 years of service as the longest-serving State of Idaho employee at that time. She remained in the Treasure Valley the remainder of her life.

Lynn had many hobbies and interests. She was a talented sewer who made beautiful quilts and other handmade crafts for her family and friends. An avid puzzler, Lynn was known to take her dining table out of commission for a few weeks to complete a thousand-piece monstrosity or two. She enjoyed musicals and trips with friends to New York City to see live Broadway shows. Lynn also found joy in travelling with her family and especially loved going to Hawaii and Jackpot. She made holidays special, cherished making pies with the granddaughters, and always bought everyone lottery tickets, though no big winners were ever had.

Lynn’s family mourns the loss of a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Stan Willmorth and brother Jim Trevey. Lynn is remembered by her three children: Lori McNitt (Mike), Stacy Heupel (Wade), and Scott Willmorth. She also leaves behind three grandchildren: Halle Neill (Tyler), Kenna Heupel, and Acelyn Willmorth; and two great-grandchildren: Brennan Neill and Harrison Neill.

In lieu of flowers, Lynn’s family requests donations be made out to your favorite charity. Lynn’s Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday February 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM, located at Rooster’s Tavern on the Greens at Lakeview Golf Course.
