Shirley Bainbridge passed away June 10, 2026, and returned to her Heavenly Father. Shirley was 83 years old when she died at St. Alphonsus’s Regional Medical Center in Boise after a heart attack.

Shirley loved dancing and won many trophies for her dancing. She loved gardening and cooking food for family and friends, and she made sure no one went hungry around her. She also loved flowers. For 40 years, Shirley was a beautician and barber. She also loved her dogs Rusty, Chica, and LittleBits.

Shirley Ann Walker was born to Delone Ann Broadbent and Giles Earl Walker on December 29, 1942, in King, Auburn, Washington. She had one sister, Deanna L. Walker, and a brother, Ronald (Mehann). After her father died, her mother married Delbert J. Osterhout of Rupert, Idaho. They had one daughter: Patricia Daratt.

Shirley grew up in various places in Idaho, including Acequia, Grangeville, Weiser, and Boise. She graduated from Weiser High School in 1960.

Shirley married Kenneth H. Miller June 9, 1961, in Las Vegas, Clark, Nevada. Shirley and Kenny had two children while in Las Vegas: Cindy R. Miller and Jeff F. Miller. After they divorced, Shirley married Jack S. Bainbridge, July 31, 1972, in Payette, Payette, Idaho. They had a son, Jason W. Bainbridge, and they resided in Ontario, Oregon and Fruitland and Boise, Idaho.

Shirley is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and received her endowments in the Twin Falls, Idaho temple.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, and her sister Deanna Peterson (Wesley) of Alaska.

Shirley is survived by her Aunt Oleta Fuller (Rusty) of Boise; sister Patricia Daratt of Muleshoe, Texas; sons Jeff Miller (Nancy) of Twin Falls and Jason Bainbridge of Boise; six grandchildren: Michael S. McSweeney (Ari) of Ontario, Oregon, Shawna A. Hally (David) of Baker City, Oregon, Lacey J. Cross of Wright City, Missouri, Kasey S. Cross (Staci) of Kimberly, Idaho, McKenna B. Costa (Nathan) of Augusta, Georgia, and Morgan E. Miller of Pocatello; and three great-grandchildren: Lucian Machuca and Micaela E. McSweeney of Fruitland, Idaho, and Austin J. L. Jeffery of Wright City, Missouri.
