Sheila May Levin, 79, passed away on Saturday, January 17th, 2026. Sheila was born to Russell Richmond Petty and Mary Vasquez Petty on July 28, 1946 in Portola, California. She grew up in the Sacramento area, graduating from Norte Del Rio High School.
At an early age, she started searching for spiritual meaning and found her faith in God through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was baptized at the age of 14th with her mother and siblings. Soon after, Sheila met the love of her life, Eben, at a Valentine’s Day dance. They continued to be each other’s valentine daily until his passing in 2018. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 29th, 1966, right before deploying to Germany during the Vietnam War. They returned two years later and started their family in California. In 1976 they chose to make their home in Meridian, Idaho. They raised five wonderful children in the home they built.
Sheila served faithfully in many callings in the church. She loved serving in the Boise Temple. She served a mission with Eben to support the members and missionaries in the Phillipines from 2012 to 2014.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Russell and Mary Petty, and Husband, Eben Ray Levin. She is survived by her children: Eben Levin, Romy Monroe, Ettal Poulsen, Rhett Levin, Belen Yettick as well as her Eight Grandchildren: Hailee, Cameron, Brooke, Amy, Cooper, Clara, Cole, Nora and her great-grandchild Gaddiel
A Funeral service for Sheila will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints building at 2555 S Stoddard Rd, Meridian, ID 83642 on Friday, January 23rd. The viewing will begin at 9:30am, and the funeral service will start at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest with her husband in the Idaho Veterans Cemetery.
