Sharrol Faye Olsen of Middleton, who passed away surrounded by her family on July 27, 2024, will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Born on August 5,1940, in Litchfield, MN, Sharrol was the daughter of Gilbert and Marie Robarge. At the age of 12, she moved to Idaho, where she spent the majority of her life.

Sharrol’s greatest achievement was raising her four children on her own, instilling in them a remarkable work ethic and an unwavering commitment to family. Her journey was not without its struggles, but she found lifelong companionship and support in her dear friend Cathie Renfro, with whom she shared over 62 years of close friendship.

Her professional life began in 1971 at the Ada County Sheriff’s Office as a dispatcher, where she eventually advanced to the role of Dispatch Supervisor. Through her work, she forged many enduring friendships. In 1989, she transitioned to the Idaho Lottery, where she continued her passion for law enforcement and played a role in the first lottery fraud arrest.

Sharrol cherished her time with family and friends, finding joy in snuggling with her dogs and watching the Grit channel.  If someone said the word Costco or Hobby Lobby, she was heading towards the door!  First stop would be to get a diet coke no matter where she was headed.

She will be remembered for her strong faith in the Lord, kindness, generosity, and dedication to her loved ones. Sharrol is now reunited with her granddaughter, Brandi Thomas/Knoble, who preceded her in death.

Sharrol is survived by her sisters, Nancy Green and LouAnn Cooper; her children, Cindy Martin, Steven Ketchum, Lynell Baty, and Heather Mather; her nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Mint Barrel Barn, 9107 W. McMillan Rd, Nampa, ID.  A reception will follow.
