Sharon Irene Stock, 70, died March 18, 2025 at her home, with her family by her side, in Star, Idaho.
Sharon was born on April 4, 1954 at Los Angeles County General Hospital in California to William Martin, Sr. And Dorothy Woodall. She was the seventh and last Martin child born, and was lovingly nicknamed Pumpkin.
Sharon grew up in Norwalk, California, and graduated from John Glen High School in 1972. In her 20’s, Sharon lived all over Orange County, California. She met Richard Stock in Cypress in 1986 and married him in Kauai on June 2, 1987. After moving in with him and his 9 year old daughter in Anaheim, California, they had their first child together in 1989 and their second in 1990. In 1999, the family moved to a larger home in Anaheim, and in 2000, Sharon was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Not only did she beat the cancer then, but she went on to survive two more rounds of the same cancer over the next two decades. She retired in 2014 and moved to her dream home in Star, Idaho in 2018. She absolutely loved her community and made so many new friends in the last 7 years.
Sharon was a proud Christian – she worshiped every morning and was baptized in 1997 with her family. Sharon was also a dedicated secretary for the City of Fullerton for 15 years, retiring in 2014. In addition, she was a teacher’s aid at Woodsboro for 5 years while her two kids attended school there. She loved to volunteer as a chaperone in all of their extracurricular activities like girl/boy scouts, marching band, sports, and PTA, to name a few.
Her hobbies and interests include bike riding, shopping, traveling, reading, walking, crafting, gardening, and a good game of cards. Sharon was a social butterfly and lit up a room with her personality. She loved all of her dogs dearly, especially Penny, her Aussie/Blue Heeler mix who misses her mom terribly. She also enjoyed playing Keno – and Sharon always seemed to win every time.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Stock; her daughter, Kimberly Stock; her son, Kevin Stock, her step daughter Sheila Stock, one grandchild Crystal Stock and her 5 remaining siblings: Patricia Morse, Ginger Albrecht, Mary Brown, Fred Martin and Jack Martin.
Her first celebration of life will be held, 3:00 pm, Saturday, May 3, 2025 at The Stock’s family home. Sharon’s second celebration of life we be held, 11:00 am, Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Yorba Regional Park in Anaheim, California.
