Sandra L. Marben (Young) was born in Cascade Idaho on February 18, 1948 to Ernest and Florence (Cantrall) Young. She was the middle child of five kids with two older brothers, Gary and Ron and two younger sisters Debbie and Darla.

Sandi was a fifth generation Cantrall in Valley County; She loved growing up in Cascade and spending time at the old Cantrall homestead in Round Valley with the Cantrall clan.

After high school, Sandi worked at the family business Cascade Auto with her father and brothers.

When her father Ernie died in 1972, Sandi’s main mission in life along with her mother was providing care for her sister Debbie.

In 1975 she met the love of her life Dave Marben and were married in 1981 in Cascade. In 1982 son Lucas was born and in 1985 son Cole was born.

While raising two boys, Sandi also was the caretaker for her mom. A role she took great pride in.

To Sandi, Cascade was home and where she truly loved to be. She enjoyed seasons of huckleberry and morel mushroom picking. She loved wood gathering, driving the mountains, BBQs by the lake. She also loved being close to her family and many friends, spending many evenings at the local cafes having a soda or a cup of coffee. She also loved crafting and enjoyed many mediums whether it was tole painting or crocheting.

In 2024, Dave and Sandi moved to Boise to be closer to family. She soon learned of the added bonus of being near craft and thrift stores.

On May 14, 2026, Sandi passed after battling a long illness. She went peacefully surrounded with family and her favorite music playing.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Florence Young, her sister Debbie, brother Gary, and niece Julie Young.

She is survived by her husband David, sons Lucas (Leah) and Cole (Lauren), and grandsons Matthew and Darien, sister-in-law Ann Young, brother Ron (Glenna), sister Darla (Ray) Arana and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special family friends Jim and Janie Hug and their family, and Marianna Bilbao.

Graveside service will be Friday, June 5th at 1pm at Alpha Cemetery in Cascade, ID

Followed by a luncheon at Cascade Community Church
