Samuel Edwin Charlton, known by Sam, was born July 26th 1967, in Boise Idaho to Teresa Darlene Lee and Robert Edwin Charlton.

Sam had 3 siblings, his little brother Robert Charlton, and his half siblings Joseph Schneider and Melinda Charlton.

As a child, Sam enjoyed spending time with his grandparents, siblings, and other relatives, who he talked about all the time.

In middle school, Sam won Player Of the Year in football, an accomplishment he was incredibly proud of, at that age.In Sam’s later teenage years, he joined the US Army as an infantry soldier.

After years full of friends and fun, Sam decided to settle down with a family, and in 1999, him and his soon to be wife, Melanie Weber, gave birth to his first daughter. Samantha Charlton was born at home on his birthday, and he got the pleasure of delivering her into the world. This was a story he loved to tell.

In 2000, he and Melanie became husband and wife, and Sam took on the step-father role to her 4 kids, Anthony, Alex, Drea and Hunter Carter. He always referred to them as “his kids” and loved each of them as his own.

Later that year, on October 5th, Sam and Melanie welcomed their second little girl into the world, Rebecca Charlton, who he adored.

He enjoyed fishing and camping with his boys, playing music for his girls, and just spending quality time with his wife, kids, parents, grandchildren, and pets. He loved the Lord, his country, dogs, cooking, football, movies, TV, music, and anything outdoorsy. He was incredibly passionate about his family’s Scottish heritage, anyone who knew him, knew that too.
Sam had a big heart and a kind spirit. He loved making people laugh, and could always put a smile on the face of anyone in his presence. He had so many friends and people who knew him. He truly loved the little things in life.
