Sally A. Maras

It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Sally Ann Nevins-Maras, a devoted mother, an incredible grandmother, and wonderful friend. She passed away unexpectedly on March 19th, at the age of 70. Sally was born in Pocatello, Idaho on December 27th, 1954 and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family, friends, pets, and art. She was a proud Borah High Lion and Boise State University graduate.

A true homemaker, Sally created a warm, welcoming, and loving environment for her children, grandchildren, and friends. She was known for her exceptional cooking and baking, artistic talent, being incredibly involved in her grandchildren’s lives, and her ability to always know how to make everyone feel special. Sally was profound at creating wonderful traditions and holiday memories. She found so much joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, volunteering at her grandkids school, attending all of their sporting events, traveling, reading, art exhibits, coffee and activities with friends. Some of her favorite places to visit were McCall, New Zealand, Hawaii, and cruising around the Bahamas.

Sally is survived by her children, Mike Maras and Sara Maras, her loved grandchildren, Kennedy and Layna, and Brother, John and Faye Nevins. She was predeceased by her son, Mark Maras (2024), parents, Gladys and Jack Nevins, and brother, Terry Nevins.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr. in Garden City.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
