Ruth Ann Staudenraus

Ruth Ann Staudenraus, 88, of Meridian, ID passed away peacefully on September 10th, 2025. Born in Appleton, WI on August 30, 1937, she was the eldest child of Harold and Hazel Wunderlich. Upon graduation from high school, Ruth and a few girlfriends moved to Denver, CO where she met her husband, Ron Staudenraus. They married on November 26, 1960, in Appleton, WI at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Ruth was strong in her faith and continued to stay involved within the church throughout her life. She was a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother, sibling and friend to those that knew her. She was always generous with her time and love. Ruth always brought joy to the holidays and special occasions with delicious meals, games, laughter and warmth and will be missed by all of us immensely. Over the years Ruth and Ron made homes in Appleton, WI, Spokane, WA, Nampa, ID and Petaluma, CA. After Ron's retirement, they settled back in Meridian, ID close to family and friends, enjoying many happy years.

 She was preceded in death by her husband Ron and her parents Harold and Hazel Wunderlich. She is survived by her sister Jan Skuldt (Eric), brother Ron Wunderlich, sons Joe Staudenraus (Kitty) and Ted Staudenraus (Christina), Christina's sons Thadeous and Joshua Pierson and her beloved granddaughter Lauren Staudenraus.

 Ruth will be cremated under the direction of Bowman Funeral Home (Boise, ID). A memorial service celebrating Ruth's life will be held at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 11655 McMillan Rd. Boise, ID 83713 on October 4th, 11:00 AM.

 In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to her church in her honor.
