Ruth "Sara" Everhart, known affectionately as Sara, was born on May 11, 1981, in Boise, Idaho, and passed away on June 2, 2025. A beloved daughter, sister, wife, and friend, Sara's life was marked by her dedication to family, her passion for mentorship, and her unwavering spirit of adventure.

Sara graduated from Kimberly High School in 1999, laying the foundation for a future filled with service and compassion. She was married to her loving husband, David Thomas Everhart, on November 1, 2008, in a joyful ceremony held in Boise. Together, they built a home filled with laughter and love in Nampa, Idaho.

Employed as a juvenile detention officer at the Canyon County Correction Juvenile Detention Center, Sara's commitment to guiding youth and fostering positive changes in their lives was a testament to her character. Her heart was large, encompassing not only her professional roles but also her cherished hobbies. Sara was an avid traveler who found great joy in visiting Disneyland. In addition to her many trips to Disneyland, she visited Canada, Mexico, and 5 European cities (Paris, Oslo, Amsterdam, Bruges and Copenhagen) with her husband, mother and stepfather Loran. She enjoyed scrap booking, reading, and engaging in board games—a vibrant reflection of her lively personality.

Sara was an active member of Stonehill Church in Meridian, where her faith and community connection flourished. Her legacy of kindness, enthusiasm, and love will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Sara was particularly proud of her involvement in the activities of her nieces and nephews, always making time to mentor and inspire the next generation. Her love for family extended deeply.

She is survived by her husband, David Everhart; her father, Bruce Hugh Miller (Charlotte) White III of Nenaneh, Alaska, her mother, Kay Huston (Loran) Schmitt of Twin Falls, and her sisters: Heather (White) Hillman of Kuna, and Jennifer (Craig) Smith of Star; grandmother, Wilma (Breshears) Huston of Boise, along with numerous adored nieces and nephews.

Sara was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bruce Hugh Miller White II and Marjorie (Dennis) White, as well as her grandfather, Elmer George Huston; her brother-in-law, Allen Hillman; and Uncle Charlie Dennis.
