Rosemarie Baird was Memorable.

Very few people in this world that encountered her do not remember her beauty, intelligence, worldly knowledge, strong opinions, measured skepticism or undying loyalty.

She was born in the immediate aftermath of World War II in Germany, and moved with her family at two years of age to America.  These formative years as the youngest child of five, with no money or possessions, and moving to a country where they did not speak the language, shaped the way she lived her life………focused, driven, longing for a better life for her family and children.  She lost her father at a very young age, dying in her arms.  She cherished life as a result of these early experiences.

Her interests were as diverse as her character.  She loved to travel, loved a comfortable modern and clean home, reading great novels and historical fiction about World War II and her European homeland, clean living and healthy food, and an active lifestyle.

Her laughter was contagious!  Her love for partner and lifelong companion, her children and grandchildren unmatched.  She always had the right answer, and we wonder where will we go now for guidance.  She shared her love for music to all who would listen, and seemingly always had a song in her head or on her lips.  Her love for animals was a gift, and often times surpassed her love for people.  She was so wise.  Her advice and counsel will be missed by the close group of people lucky enough to call her a friend, mother or wife.

The world feels a little less bright without her in it.  However, our memories and laughter are so much better having known her.  We will miss her dearly, and always hold her in our hearts and minds.

Be kind to each other, and especially to animals.  Hug and cherish your friends.  Love your family always!  Take care of your health.
