Ronald "Ron" R. Archuleta

Ronald Ray Archuleta, 77, of Boise Idaho passed peacefully on July 26, 2026 with family at his bedside. A celebration of life will be on August 7, 10am at Bowman Funeral Parlor, Garden City.

Ron was born July 23, 1949 in Ogden Utah to Donald and Rosanna Lopez Archuleta. He was the 2nd of 5 children. Ron graduated from Bonneville High School class of 1967 with certificates in auto mechanics, shop and welding. He married Pamela Hoskins Archuleta Jan 26, 1968. They had 2 daughters, Evonne Shantel and GayLee Lynn. After their divorce in 2006 he lived with his partner Joni Cuttlers until her passing in 2020.

Ron worked as a heavy diesel mechanic for Western Road Machinery Company and eventually ACHD as shop foreman, retiring in 2004. He had a small ranch where he bred and broke quarter horses, raised sheep and grew hay to feed his animals. Although he loved animals his favorites were always his Maltese dogs.

Ron was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, RVing and 4wheeling. He was an excellent dancer, singer, played the trumpet, rode motorcycles and loved anything fun and exciting. Ron was an amazing Papa and spent a lot of time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He taught them how to hunt, fish and have fun spending every summer outdoors in the sun. Thanks to his supportive network, AA, he celebrated 40 years of sobriety this year. Ron’s lighthearted teasing, flirtatious humor and his big smile always lit up the room.

Ron was a beloved Dad, Papa, Brother and Friend who will be greatly missed.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his partner Joni Cuttlers, his sisters Peggy Duarte and Teresa Oldham.

Ron is survived by his daughters Shantel (Roger Lyngaas) Archuleta and GayLee Hoff; Sister Donna Hall, brother Andrew (Shirley) Archuleta; Grandchildren Hailey (Tim) Seibert, Chase Hopkins and Aspen Rayne May; Greatgrandchildren Hunter Seibert and Dallas Seibert

A celebration of life will be held, 10:00 am, Friday, August 7, 2026 at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City, Idaho.
