Ronald (Ron) Emil Warnke, of Star, Idaho, passed away on May 3, 2025. Ron was born to Lorena Evelyn (Rudolph) and Harry Emil Warnke in Burley, Idaho. He graduated from The University of Idaho. On June13, 1958, Ronald married Marilyn Kay Warnke in Twin Falls, Idaho. Ron has lived in Boise, Garden Valley, Star, Idaho, and spent the first two years of marriage in Arizona. Together they spent winters in Arizona from 2002 to 2015.
Ron was employed for more than 34 years with Blue Cross of Idaho and retired as the CFO/Executive Vice President in 2002.
Some of Ron’s hobbies included gardening, golfing, fishing, stamp collecting, and he was a great friend to his dogs, Max and Maynard. He was a fan of Idaho sports teams including Boise State and the University of Idaho. He was active for years in the Shrine Sand Duners Unit and served several years as the El Korah Shrine Hospital Representative.
Ron is survived by his sons: Kevin and Scott Warnke Grandchildren Erik Bruce (Madeline) Warnke, Samantha Ann Warnke, and great-grandchild; David Warnke, and preceded in death by his wife; Marilyn Kay Warnke.
A graveside service will be held, 10:00 am, Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Star Cemetery, 9350 W. Floating Feather Rd., Star, Idaho.
