Ronald Taylor, “Ron”, passed away on April 15, 2025 at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Ron grew up in Boise and graduated from Boise High School in 1955.He then attended Boise Junior College, graduating as a machinist.

Pat Rost married Ron on December 9, 1955. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this December. Over the years they enjoyed hundreds of events with family and friends.

Ron was admired for his honesty, devotion to family, love of the outdoors, and, especially, his strong work ethic. Ron started his mechanic career at Hills BF Goodrich in Boise in 1956, at 19 years old. He dedicated 18 years of hard work as the alignment shop manager. Ron then moved to Jerry Hedrick Tire for 5 years before opening his own business, R&R Wheel & Tire. Ron operated his own successful business for 28 years until his son, Tom, bought the business. R&R Wheel & Tire continues to operate today.

Ron entered the Army National Guard in 1954. He retired at the rank of Major in 1977.

Ron will be missed dearly by his family and friends. His constant good nature and dedication to those he loved will be forever cherished.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Bowman Funeral Parlor, located at 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City, Idaho. A visitation will be held from noon until the time of service.
