Robert Donald Morrison, Jr

Robert Donald Morrison, age 79, of Star Idaho formally of Aurora, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa, Idaho. He was born on April 18, 1946, in Aurora IL.

Robert served in the United States Army and did two tours in Vietnam as a Radar Specialist. Robert worked at Fermilab in Batavia IL for 35 years.

Robert enjoyed fishing, cooking, and photography and in his later years enjoyed the hobby of making knives.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Anna Morrison. His sons, Donald (Kathy) Sylvester of Star Idaho, Kevin (Patty) Sylvester of Weiser Idaho, Doug (Natalie) Sylvester of Garden City Idaho, and Jack Grewer of West Palm Beach Florida. His daughters, Lisa Sylvester of Boring Oregon, Rana Haesler of Bowling Green, KY and Kami Bergman of Albuqueque, NM. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. His sisters, Cheryl Joyce of Aurora Il and Melody Stals of Mears, MI. His brother Mark Brown of North Dakota and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Robert Morrison Sr, his mother, Mavis (Rogers) Morrison, stepmother, Pearl Morrison, sister, Penny Bringle, sister, Ruth Morrison in infancy, his brother Michael brown and son in law Eric Haesler.

Visitation will be Friday, June 27, 2025, from 5 to 7pm at Bowman Funeral Home in Garden City, Idaho. Interment will be on July 11, 2025, at 9 am at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery with The Military Honor Guard and grandson, Sergeant First Class Dionicio Vega, presenting the flag and full military honors.
