Richard "Rick" Lashbrook, 86, of Eagle, Idaho, passed away peacefully at home on July 1st, 2025.
Rick was born on January 10th, 1939, in St. Maries, Idaho, to Raymond and Bernice Lashbrook. He was raised in Boise, where he later met and married Francene Kirkland in 1972. They shared 28 years of marriage until her passing in 2000. In 2007, Rick found love again and married Judith Lane. Together, they spent 18 joyful years traveling, collecting antiques, and attending car shows across the country.
Rick was a hardworking man with a wide range of talents. As a gifted musician, he played several instruments and was a member of the Idaho National Guard Army Band. He traveled across the country playing drums in several Big Bands. Later, his love of music led him to teach music and direct the drill team at Bishop Kelly High School, where he met his wife, Francene.
Later in life, Rick shifted careers and found success in real estate, restoring and remodeling homes throughout the Treasure Valley. He had an eye for beauty and history, which was reflected in his passion for antiques and vintage cars.
Rick was also a proud Master Mason and a member of the El Korah Shriners. He loved traveling, with some of his favorite destinations including Hawaii, Mexico, New Orleans, as well as attending the Big Band concerts in Busch Gardens, Tampa Bay.
Rick will be remembered as strong, loving, intelligent, and fiercely independent. He never hesitated to ask questions or break from tradition, a trait that those who knew him admired deeply.
Rick is survived by his wife, Judith; his children, Corbett, Andrea, Louis, and Roger; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Francene, and his parents, Raymond and Bernice.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
