Reid Michael Kell, 60, of Caldwell, Idaho, passed away on August 15, 2026. He was born April 29, 1966, in Portland, Oregon, to Michael Dennis Kell and Donna Mae Heizelman (Kell).

Reid graduated from Seaside High School in Seaside, Oregon, and attended Walla Walla College, now Walla Walla University, in College Place, Washington. On August 10, 1986, he married Brenda Kay Kell in Portland, Oregon. Together, they shared 40 years of marriage and made their home in several communities throughout Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.

Throughout his career, Reid worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Walla Walla, at Hanford in the Tri-Cities, Lockheed Martin and ATOS in Hillsboro, Oregon, and Canyon County in Caldwell.

Reid had a lifelong interest in computers and technology. He served in the IT department at the Beaverton Seventh-day Adventist Church and later as head of IT at the Nampa Seventh-day Adventist Church, generously volunteering many hours of his time and talents.

He loved board games, gaming conventions, riding his ATV, and building and working on computers. One of his favorite traditions was an annual game weekend with his son and beloved nephews, a tradition approaching its 30th year. Reid was also an animal lover who adored his dogs, Pocket, Peaches, Pickles, and Tinker; his cat, Pixi; and his goats and chickens. He enjoyed building coops, sheds, and safe spaces for his animals.

Reid is survived by his wife, Brenda Kell of Caldwell; daughters, Stefanie (Jon) Avery and Morgen (Jared) Holfeltz; sons, Jordan (Brittany) Kell and James (Mindy) Lewis; his mother, Donna Samuels; brother, Ryan (Mona) Kell; sister, Leslie Roger; mother-in-law, Alta Downs, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Deanna Riffle and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Dennis Kell, in 2011.
