Randy Wade Jewett-Ulrich

Randy Wade Jewett-Ulrich age 44 went to heaven surrounded by family July 7, 2023 after a short battle with cancer.

Randy was born in Rupert, Idaho to Rory and Donna Jewett. As a young child Randy grew up on ranches in Gooding, Grandview and Nevada. Three years later his sister Rhonda joined him on the ranches. He loved playing cowboy and learning the western way of life.

At the age of 11 he and his sister were adopted by Dave and Robin Ulrich. They were now in the big city. He attended St. Mary.s Catholic school. He had many fond memories walking to school in the North End with his new brothers and sister. He then attended Bishop Kelly until his family moved to Gooding. He graduated from Gooding Accelerated School. During this time he also learned to ski. He had fun keeping up with his brothers and sister as they explored every nook and cranny on Soldier Mountain. He also enjoyed the family spring break trips to various ski areas and the ocean.

As a young adult Randy moved to Utah in pursuit of work and lived there until moving back to Gooding for a short while until settling in Fairfield, Idaho. While in Fairfield, Randy worked various jobs in farming, and at the Camas Creek Country Store.

Randy was a gentle soul and was loved by many people in the community.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Als intensive care unit. Also a big thank you for the care and love the community of Fairfield showed Randy.

Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents: Don and June Hill, Harland and Marca Leen Jewett and Marvin and Laura Ulrich. He will be missed by his parents and family. Dave and Robin Ulrich (Gooding), Rory Jewett, (Nevada), Donna (Steve) Griffith. Wendell, Mike (Cassie) Ulrich (Gooding), Brian (Michelle) Ulrich, Spokane, WA, Thomas (Crystal) Ulrich, Gooding. And many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00am, on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Gooding County Fairgrounds, 230 Lucy Lane in Gooding, followed by lunch.
