Phyllis L Smith Ingalls born in Mcfall, Missouri on January 24, 1925 to Julia Troxell and Virgil Smith. Her family then moved to Boise, Idaho, in 1938. Attended Boise High School and graduated in 1942. During WWII worked at Gowen Field command post in the parts department.
Phyllis married Walter Ingalls in 1946, the two moved in 1951 to Mare Island (ship yard). The couple moved to Vallejo, California in 1955. She worked with Boy Scouts as a den mother and chaperon on field trips.
Phyllis and Walter then moved back to Idaho in 1971 when Walter retired.
She loved sewing,gardening,refinishing furniture,and collecting antique clocks. They were long time members of the Ida-horological clock club.
She is survived by son David and wife Sandy, 3 grand daughters Darlene, Naomi, and Ashley. 3 great granddaughters Kinsey, Chloe, and Audrey. 1 great grandson Josh. And niece Linda Smith.
A graveside service will be held, 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Morris Hill Cemetery, 317 N. Latah. Boise, Idaho.
