Phyllis Ann Crist, 86, passed away in her home on March 17, 2025, surrounded by her three children, Lori, Doug, and Tesa.

Phyllis was born and raised in Monroe, North Carolina, to Luke and Tessie Broome.  She graduated in 1956 from Mineral Springs High School in Monroe, North Carolina.  At the age of 20 she traveled from North Carolina to Boise, Idaho to visit her brother Doug.  It was at Quinn’s Lounge (the first bar she ever went to) that she met her husband to be, Larry Crist.  They were married April 29, 1960.  This year they would have been married for 65 years.

Phyllis loved growing things and spending time in the garden.  She and Larry loved the outdoors and spent a lifetime exploring Idaho.  Fishing and camping were common activities, along with boating, waterskiing, and kayaking.  Phyllis was an avid reader, going through several books each week.

Because Phyllis was very devoted to her family, she and Larry raised their three children well, and were very involved in the upbringing of six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was much loved by everyone that met her and will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held, 10:00 am, Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City, Idaho.

The family would like to invite all to their Annual Easter Family Celebration Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Municipal Park from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  Feel free to join us as we celebrate our matriarch.
