Percy Jay Hill

Percy Jay Hill, 76, peacefully passed away on September 10, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.

Born in St. Anthony, Idaho, Percy was the son of Percy Ray Hill and Donna Lucille (Gneiting) Hill. He grew up in Idaho and attended Piedmont High School in Piedmont, California, where he graduated. Later in life, he became a proud member of the Elks Lodge in Idaho Falls, where he made many lasting friendships.

Percy had a passion for the outdoors and could often be found fishing, camping, or tending to his garden. He enjoyed playing darts and cherished time spent with his family. Known for his kind heart, sharp wit, and larger-than-life personality, Percy brought laughter and joy to all who knew him. He held a special bond with his beloved dog, Tobi, and the many “grand dogs” that filled his home with companionship over the years.

Percy is survived by the mother of his children, Zenda Hill of Nampa, ID and his children: Roger Blalock of Idaho Falls, ID; Marjorie Gehrkin of Meridian, ID; Paulette Krishnan of Cameron Park, CA; Mindy Smith of Meridian, ID; and Shelly (Dawna) Moreno of Nampa, ID; along with 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Darla Reber of Boise, ID, and his brother, Douglas Hill of Boise, ID.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Donna Hill; his wives, Kay Hill and Noreen Wynn; his brother, William Hill; sisters, DonaRae Jacobs and Jolene Wilson; his daughter, Teresa Haley; and grandson, Jarred Haley.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Boise Elks Lodge, 6608 Fairview Avenue, Boise, Idaho 83704.
