Patricia “Pat” Ann Crowley, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, in Meridian, Idaho, surrounded by the family who loved her deeply. She was 84.
Born September 6, 1940, in Langdon, North Dakota, to Ruby Juliet Fjeld and Truax Soli, Pat moved with her family to California, where she attended elementary through high school, graduating from Covina High School. She went on to attend San Antonio Community College and Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California.
Pat married the love of her life, John F. Crowley, on January 26, 1963, in Los Angeles, California. Together they built a beautiful life across several places they called home: Los Angeles (1942), Provo, Utah (1971), Salmon, Idaho (1974), Idaho Falls (1989), and finally Boise, Idaho (2008). Their marriage spanned over six decades, rooted in love, faith, and unwavering devotion.
Pat began her career as a dental assistant, and as she started her family, she devoted herself to raising her children. When they were older, she returned to work as a healthcare worker and caregiver—roles that reflected her natural compassion, patience, and warmth.
She had many passions and talents. Pat loved sewing, knitting, baking, and cake decorating—she proudly made several wedding cakes for family and friends. Her hobbies also include gardening, arts and crafts, drawing, genealogy, and camping. She found joy in bike rides, temple activities, shopping trips, and most of all, watching her grandchildren play sports.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pat was active in church service throughout her life, including camps, leadership roles, and temple work. Her deep faith guided everything she did and inspired those around her.
Pat is survived by her loving husband, John F. Crowley of Meridian, Idaho; daughter Holly (Dale) Moss of Meridian, Idaho; son Mike (Carolyn Cort) Crowley of McCall, Idaho; grandchildren Syringa (Adam) of Meridian, David (Meaghan) of Boise, Alissa (David ) of McCall Danielle (Tyler) of Salmon, Idaho, Jordan (Jarrod) of Salmon, Idaho, and Jennica (Connor) of Lexington, Kentucky; and great-grandchildren Kennedy, Jenna, Emerson, Reese, Cameron, Scarlett, Toryn, Reese and Jameson. She is also survived by her brother, Gaylord Soli of Palm Springs, California, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Heather, grandsons Jake, Calvin, and Little Billy, and her parents.
Pat’s legacy is one of love, resilience, creativity, and faith. She will be remembered for her strength, her homemade treats, her listening heart, and the way she made everyone feel special.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the incredible team at EDGEWOOD SPRING CREEK for the compassionate, respectful and loving care they provided to Pat. Your kindness, patience and dedication brought comfort not only to her but to all of us during her final season of life. We are forever grateful.
