Patricia A. (Ferdig) Brown, 80, of Meridian passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born June 14, 1943 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Charles and Rachel (Quackenbush) Ferdig, the youngest of six children.
She grew up in Nebraska and Idaho and attended Boise High School.
She married Richard (Rich) Donald Brown on May 16, 1959 in Boise Idaho. Rich and Pat were blessed with two children, Carol Ann in 1960 and Michael Lee (Mike) in 1963. They celebrated their 64 th wedding anniversary this year.
She was preceded in death by her son Mike, her parents, her brothers, John, Norman, William (Bill), and Charles (Chuck) and her sister Alta Mae Knickerbocker.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Sweat (Larry), daughter-in-law, Rose Brown, grandchildren Jennifer Miller (Corey), Michelle Brown (Jacob), Travis Michels (Erin) and Kyler Brown, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a public viewing at Bowman Funeral Chapel, 10254 W Carlton Bay Dr, Garden City, on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am, followed by a committal service at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd, Boise, starting at 11:00 am.
