On January 19th, 2023 at the age of 56, Paris Daman Morrow left this earth suddenly . Born April 26th, 1966 it would be a losing argument to say a kinder, more gentle soul was born that day. The oldest of three siblings and the grandson of Wilfred “Manley” Morrow . Paris spent many a day in his childhood eating pickles and learning how to make his grandfather’s recipes over at Manley’s Cafe. Growing up Paris fostered a love of of G.I. joes, sports, comic books, and of course, superheroes. His favorite was The Hulk. Following graduation from Boise High in 1984 he enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany where he served as a combat engineer. Shortly after returning home , in 1987 he met his best friend, co-adventurer, and the love of his life, Tesa Crist. Paris returned from Army annual training in 1988 and asked Tesa to marry him on the VA grounds. They then married in June of 1989 and have spent the last 35 plus years as an inspiration of what true love means. One year later, in June of 1990, their first daughter Whitney was born. In 1992 a second daughter Mariah followed and finally in 2002 they completed their family with the birth of another baby girl, Alanis.
Paris , once state side, continued with the Army National Guard where he finally became a medic. Because of his time as a medic, he decided to become a nurse. Paris became an LPN in 1992 at BSU ,then he received his Associate degree in nursing at his alma mater. Later finishing his Bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Phoenix . One of Paris’s life goals was to get a bachelor’s degree. We were all so very proud of him when he achieved that goal! When Paris finished his RN , he finally got his dream job at the Boise VA where he continually advocated for the best care for our servicemen and women as well as his coworkers. Paris was always ready to help a patient or showing a new employee the ropes , Paris exemplified selflessness. During the height of the pandemic he served on the frontlines and worked in the ER at the Boise VA. As of late he worked with Behavioral Health as an RN at the Boise VA answering calls from veterans in distress helping them navigate their situation and find the right resource. His mix of Robin Williams style humor, compassion, and medical care was just what the doctor ordered.
When not helping veterans Paris would be playing his guitar, telling dad jokes, and playing pranks on his wife and kids. There was nothing he loved more than being with them and making them laugh. On weekends Paris and Tesa, would take weekend trips to the beautiful mountains of Idaho, camping, fishing, dirt biking and just being together. You could also catch him skateboarding around his neighborhood with his dog Jack or playing catch with his grandsons Jaxon and Jaden.
In death he is preceded by his daughter Whitney and his sister Payge. He is survived by his best friend and love of his life Tesa and daughters Mariah and Alanis as well as grandsons Jaxon and Jaden. His mother Nancy, multiple siblings, aunts, uncles , cousins , nieces and nephews. Paris is also survived by numerous friends and work family. He will be missed by so many.
We will have a celebration of life on March 19, 2023 from 1 pm to 5 pm at the Mint Barrel Barn at 9107 W McMillan Rd, Nampa, ID 83687.
