Pamela “Pam” Ann Shambaugh passed away on February 22, 2025, in Meridian, Idaho, at the age of 74.
Born on November 5, 1950, in Colfax, Wisconsin, she lived a life of altruism and compassion. Pam dedicated her career to the medical field as a highly esteemed radiologic technologist. She attended X-ray school at Boise College and was known for her intelligence, analytical skills, and deep commitment to her profession and to learning. Doctors, colleagues, and friends held her in high regard for both her expertise and her unwavering kindness. She also had served as a minister for nearly eight years, remaining faithful to her non-denominational Christian beliefs for over six decades.
A devoted patriot, Pam loved her country and stood firmly for what she believed was right. She was known for protecting the innocent, speaking up for her convictions, and giving selflessly to others despite having little herself. Her passions included photography, roadtrips, fighter jets, wild horses, beautiful landscapes, flowers, and lighthouses—capturing beauty in both nature and the world around her.
Above all, Pam was a loving mother to her three daughters: Anna Keeler of Atwater, California; Bonnie Brown of Pullman, Washington; and Cora Gempler of Boise, Idaho. She cherished her grandchildren—Aiden Ochoa, Leo Ochoa, Brooklynn Keeler, Raegan Keeler, Evan Brown, Mason Kelly, Lincoln Kelly, Aspyn Gempler and Kaden Gempler. Of course, her little pup Gracie too, always brought her so much joy and happiness. To many beyond her immediate family she was a mother or sister figure—she was beloved like family by those who knew her.
Pam saw a light in everybody and was a pillar of meekness when it came to forgiveness. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and generosity will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her.
