Paige Shamy fell asleep In the Lord on January 12th, 2021 at home after a long battle with a rare cancer. She was 33.
Paige was Born July 24th, 1987 in Boise, Idaho to Richard and Gina McClintick. She was the older sibling to her brother Alex and a life long friend to Emma, Anna, and Shelley since preschool. As a child, she enjoyed camping, skiing, and all pastimes of the outdoors that many Idahoans know and love. This began her love of exploration and a wanderlust for the unknowns the world has to offer.
Paige graduated from Borah High School in 2005 and immediately began satisfying her curiosities through travel, friendships, and that life long pursuit of exploration she grew up with. She became a certified scuba diver, Learned the ins and outs of horseback riding, pursued geology through rock hunting, and many other endless enjoyments that she was happy to share with anyone and everyone.
In 2008, she met her would be husband, Dan, by their mutual friend, Jordan, who insisted he ask for her number. After that first phone call, they remained inseparable. Hand and hand, Paige and Dan would share every step along a path of love, friendship, and joy many found inspirational. They could finish each others stories, jokes, and sentences without hesitation. They truly embraced their love for one another and enjoyed each other endlessly.
Paige continued in her exploration, finding great joy in learning. She found interest in architecture, history, etymology, theology, music and art. Reading, cooking, and gardening became a great part of her pastime. She always looked forward to her annual camping trip with her nieces and nephew. Traveling to Maui with her family always highlighted the year and provided endless conversations of returning (and maybe never catching that return flight home). She greatly enjoyed reading the Bible and found God in everything she did. She would constantly speak of scripture and faith in an uplifting way that was uniquely her. She was brimming with kindness that overflowed. She was joy personified, love in its best form, and will be greatly missed.
Paige is survived by her husband, Daniel of Boise; mother and father, Gina and Richard of Boise, and brother Alex of Boise. As well as many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins who certainly adore her and miss her.
The Family would like to thank everyone who shared their time, love, and friendship with Paige. Knowing her was a blessing to all of us.
