Oliver Joseph Naboone

Oliver Nabonne, 78, a resident of Boise, Idaho, passed away unexpectedly July 29, 2025, at St. Lukes Hospital.

Oliver was born in New Orleans, LA, to Teresa Johnson and Robert Nabonne, one of ten children (Susan, Denise, Cherrie, Donna, Mitchell, Fred, Rene, Bryan, and Terry). He was raised in East Los Angelas, CA, and at 19 years old enlisted into the Navy. After being honorably discharged from the Navy (1968), Oliver completed his GED at Bakersfield Adult School (2001), and after attended Boise State University for additional education. Oliver was a certified class A welder as well as, a commercial truck driver (45 years).

Oliver and wife Rita (Yribar) Nabonne have resided together since 1973. He is survived by sons OJ Jr.(Melanie), Jason Yribar (Melanie), and Joshua Nabonne (Tess), grandchildren; Trynadie, Jillian, Marliegh, Sydnie, and Greyson. Extended loved ones; Tobias (Theresa), Jerome, Antonya (Chris), Samantha, Stone, Vincent, Cicely, Jaxon, Liam, Jean, Mike, and Teresa.

Oliver’s favorite past times were, meeting new people, getting to know others, lending a helping hand, fishing, playing poker, and his involvement at both the VA and VFW.

Oliver will be missed by his family and many friends. He was one of a kind and could talk to any and everyone. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Saint Jude’s and/or Veterans Affairs.
