Nancy Gail Murri, 78, of Meridian, Idaho, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, in Meridian, Idaho, surrounded by her loving husband and children.
Nancy was born on May 17, 1948, in San Jose, California, to Esther (Gholarte) and Clifford Rogers. She spent her childhood raised in Fremont, California, and was the oldest daughter and 3rd child among 7 children.
Nancy married the love of her life, Thomas Loren Murri, in 1966. They met on a blind date, and after being married several years, they were sealed for time and all eternity in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Oakland Temple. Tom and Nancy moved from Palo Alto, California in 1974 to Meridian, Idaho where they built their lifelong home together, continuing to build a life of love, faith, laughter, hard work and service. They raised and loved their 4 children together, spent 60 years married on this earth and created so many cherished memories together.
Nancy’s faith stood true and was evident in her life as she willingly served in several callings throughout the years including serving 11 years in the Boise Idaho Temple, Young Women’s, Primary, and Sunday School. She would talk often about her current callings and how much she loved the children and adults that she served and spent time with.
Nancy was the epitome of “Fancy Nancy” and was often referred to as such by family, friends, and caretakers. Everyone that knew her, knew that she loved being fancy! Nancy loved spending time with her family, laughing and joking, dancing, quilting and sewing and giving her quilts to friends and family, crocheting hats and blankets for everyone, visiting on the phone with her sisters and friends, candy, a good game of rummy, and bowling, fishing and camping with family and friends when she was younger. She looked forward to walking with a straight back after years of pain, and celebrating her recovery in Cabo and her 60th anniversary in Hawaii with her loving hubby and kids. Nancy will be remembered for her spunky and witty attitude, her strength and determination to get stronger, her grit to do the things she loved—even through her pain, her love of having fun, and always being excited to spend time with her grandkids.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Esther (Ghoularte) and Clifford Rogers; her brother, Steve Rogers and his wife Stefanie; and her brother-in-law, Terry Bollinger. She is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas Murri; her children, Karen and her husband Doug Jardine; Jermey and his wife Heidi Murri; Olivia and her husband Jon Lolley; and Elizabeth Murri; her brother, Jack and wife Maria Rogers; her sister, Mary Bollinger; her sister Rosanne Rush; her twin brothers Tom and Tim, and his wife Carmen Rogers; 17 grandchildren who adored her; and 4 great-grandchildren who loved their “GiGi.”
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at Bowman Funeral, 10254 W. Carlton Bay, Garden City, Idaho 83714. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3451 North Locust Grove Road, Meridian, Idaho 83642, with a visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. A committal will follow at Veterans Memorial at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and knew how to make people smile with her feisty little personality. She would want today to be about celebrating her life and remembering all the good times we had with her. She will be dearly missed, but her memory will remain a blessing by all who knew her.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who impacted Nancy’s life in countless ways. She loved you, and we love you because you loved her.
