In Loving Memory of Nancy Carol Hamilton

June 13, 1944 – September 10, 2026

Nancy Carol Hamilton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 82.

Nancy was born in Kansas on June 13, 1944, to George and Viola. While she was still a very young girl, her family moved to Idaho, where she grew up in Caldwell with her brothers and sister. Nancy had many wonderful—and sometimes mischievous—stories about growing up and the adventures she and her siblings found themselves getting into. Those stories became cherished memories for her family and were a reflection of her fun-loving spirit.

One of the greatest love stories of Nancy’s life began at Meridian Speedway. As a young girl, Nancy and her family would often attend the races, where she became fascinated by a young man who was behind the wheel. She never could have known at the time that the young racer she enjoyed watching would one day become her husband.

That young man was Ken Hamilton.

Nancy and Ken eventually met, fell in love, and married, beginning a life together that was filled with love, family, adventure, travel, and racing. They traveled all over the country, following races and enjoying the many adventures that came with a life lived on the road. Through the years, they made countless memories together and shared a love of racing that remained an important part of their lives.

Nancy was a wonderful wife and mother who loved her family deeply. She is survived by her husband, Ken Hamilton; her daughter, Leisa Grasmick, and son-in-law, Mike; her stepson, David Hamilton; and her stepdaughter, Debbie Allen. She was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and had the joy of recently becoming a great-great-grandmother for the fourth time.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Viola; her brother, David; and her sister, Gloria.

Nancy leaves behind a lifetime of memories, stories, laughter, and love. Her family will remember her not only for the life she shared with them, but for the adventures she and Ken experienced together, the stories she loved to tell, and the many generations of family she helped create.

She was a beloved wife, a wonderful mother, and a cherished member of her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her and in the generations that follow.

Rest peacefully, Mom. Your life was an incredible adventure, and we are so grateful we got to share the journey with you. You will be loved and missed forever.
