Myra Faye Rohm Kemper, age 93, went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2026.
Myra was born on December 18, 1932, in Lake Park, Georgia, to Darvin L. and Urrie Carter. She was raised on a family farm alongside her three siblings, Ronald, Blanche, and Larry. Myra excelled in school and graduated as the Salutatorian of her high school class.
After high school, Myra met Earl R. Rohm, who was stationed in Georgia while serving in the United States Air Force. They were married on May 11, 1952, and immediately began their life together by driving to Victorville, California, where Earl was stationed. After completing his military service, they settled in Boise, Idaho, where Earl worked for the Idaho Air National Guard and Myra devoted herself to raising their family.
Together, Myra and Earl raised four children: Connie Anderson, Janice Renk, Judy Rohm, and Steven Rohm. Myra loved to sew and spent countless hours sewing beautiful outfits for her daughters, their friends and her grandchildren. She and Earl shared a love for adventure and enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, and spending time with close friends. They were married for 31 years until Earl’s passing in 1983.
As her children grew older, Myra wanted to pursue a career. She attended courses at Boise State University and later began working for the State of Idaho, until her retirement in 1994.
In retirement, Myra found great joy in traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She especially loved cruises, with her trip to Tahiti being one of her most cherished adventures. During this time, she developed a love for square dancing, where she met Gerald Heffelfinger in 1994. They shared many happy years dancing with friends and were married on August 1, 1999. Gerald passed away in 2000.
Myra always had a love for music and began taking organ lessons, where she met James Kemper in 2004. They quickly fell in love and were married six months later on May 21, 2005. Together, they enjoyed a wonderful life split between winters in Yuma, Arizona, and summers in Boise, Idaho. They shared many travels, square dancing events, and treasured friendships.
Myra is survived by her loving husband, James Kemper; her children, Connie Anderson, Janice Renk (Nick), Judy Rohm, and Steven Rohm (Char); seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Myra loved life deeply and remained devoted to her Christian faith throughout her life. She was known for her warm sense of humor, kind heart, and adventurous spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Myra's memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at Boise Church of Christ 2000 N Eldorado Street, Boise, ID,
