Monte Melverne Dennett passed away on June 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of adventure, determination, and unmistakable personal spirit.

Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on May 15th, 1942, Monte was the only child of Clarence Melverne “Mel” and Joyce Dennett. The family moved to San Bernadino, California in the late 1940’s where Mel started an electrical contracting business. Mel and Joyce moved to Idaho in the early 1960’s while Monte remained in Southern California. As a young man in Southern California in the 1960’s, Monte developed a passion for motorcycle racing, embracing the thrill and freedom that would remain a defining part of his life. Monte relocated to Idaho in 1968 and made it his home, continuing to build a life centered on family, hard work, and the outdoors.

Monte enjoyed a successful career in the military insurance industry, a profession that took him throughout the western United States and into Western Europe. Along the way, he earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike through his dedication, integrity, and genuine ability to connect with others.

Away from work, Monte found joy on the tennis court and on the open road. An avid tennis player and lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, some of his greatest memories were made riding with his children, sharing not only his love of motorcycles but also his adventurous spirit and appreciation for life's simple moments.

In his later years, Monte enjoyed spending time in Arizona and Texas, where he formed lasting friendships and continued creating cherished memories with those around him.

No matter where life took him, he had a gift for making people feel welcome and leaving every place a little brighter because he had been there. Of note, in the last 20 years of his life, Monte received Jeus Christ as his Lord and Savior. This newfound walk with Jesus was a central pillar for the rest of his life, until finally, his Lord brought Monte home.

Monte is survived by his children, grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him. He is preceded in death by his daughter Lori Dennett.

Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his adventurous spirit, strength, and focused love for his family will continue to live on through the generations that follow. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
