Molly Ruth Mosby

Molly Ruth (Coulter) Mosby, 97, of Meridian, Idaho, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025. She was born in Sweet Home, Oregon to Frank Coulter and Hilda (Geil) Coulter. She arrived on January 1, 1928, which earned her family $5 as she was the first baby of the year in Linn County. She was raised in Sweet Home and was the 7th of 12 Coulter children. She graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1946.

It was in Sweet Home that she met and fell in love with Robert “Bob” Mosby, they were married at Evangelical church on October 13, 1946, and were married for 67 years when he passed away 2013. They had 4 children and throughout the years lived and raised their family in 8 different states before retiring back to Sweet Home. Molly was a joyful homemaker and was well known for her delicious food and loving demeanor. Those who were lucky enough to enjoy her culinary delights can attest to her skills in the kitchen and how she had a way of bringing people together over food. She was an amazing hostess to go along with her tasty dishes and desserts. She masterfully entertained her family and friends often.

She enjoyed the family pastime of playing cards, both pinochle and bridge with both her kids and their growing families as well as her siblings who gathered weekly to play in the later years. She always played to win these games and delighted when she came out on top. Molly was known for her laugh; she loved to laugh and was always a positive and cheerful person.

Molly is survived by all 4 of her children, Wade of West Linn, OR, Wayne (Kayrn) of Fruitland, Idaho, Tim (Robin) of Kingman, AA, and Robbie Nyara of Boise, ID; and her 8 grandchildren, Jason, Tara, Mary Anne, Abby, Charlie, Tate, Heath, and Erin as well as 24 great-grandchildren. 7 siblings, Dottie, Donna, Bonnie, Eula, Larry, Marian, and Gayle and her sister-in-law, Mary Jean Simpson of Granite Bay, CA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, 4 siblings, Mina, Norma, Wanda and Jack. Son-in-law, Bill and daughter-in-law, Susan.

The family will be having a service on July 20, 2025, in Sweet Home, Oregon.

Molly will be greatly missed. She was loved by so many, and her circle of family and friends was wide.
