Michael Todd Campbell passed away tragically in a car accident on the morning of January 2, 2023 at the age of 38. He was born in Burley, Idaho on December 2, 1984, as a youth Michael lived in various towns in numerous states all over. Michael and his parents moved to Arizona shortly after he was born and lived there until he was 2 years old. From Arizona he moved to Mountain Home, Idaho where he attended North Elementary school. When Michael turned 8 years old, he was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on December 26, 1992. Mike moved to Harrisville, Utah with his family when he turned 12 where he attended Wahlquist Junior High until his freshmen year of high school. From Harrisville, Utah Mike and his family moved back to Mountain Home where he went to school at Mountain Home High for his Freshman through Junior Year. At the ripe age of 14 Mike got his driver’s license and met his first love a then red 1983 Dodge Ram Truck. During Mikes school years he gained a love for football and golf. He was the starting Center for the Mountain Home Football Team beginning his freshman year of school and continued to play for them until his Junior Year of High School. In 2001 Mike moved his junior year of high school to Madison High School in San Antonio, Texas where he graduated in May of 2003. After high school Mike chose to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he was called to serve in Ribeirao Preto, Brazil. He began serving February 25, 2004 and returned home from his mission in Brazil in 2006.
After his mission Mike moved to Rexburg, Idaho where he attended BYU-Idaho College. While there he received a minor in Biology and a Bachelors in Wild Life Management. He was the first in his family to receive a bachelors. While attending BYU Mike met his first wife Amanda Cox, they were married in the Denver, Colorado Temple on January 13, 2007. Him and Amanda moved to Colorado in February of 2012 and had two beautiful girls; Ally Campbell who was born to Mike and Amanda on June 8, 2012 and shortly after passed away. Mike and Amanda’s second daughter Lily Sophia Campbell was born on September 6, 2013. While in Colorado Mike worked as a police officer for the Colorado Springs Police Department. In 2014 Mike moved to Fruitland, Idaho to be closer to family and took a job working as the Safety Manager for Dickinson’s Frozen Foods where he worked until he passed away. On July 15, 2022 Mike married his sweet wife Sarah Stokes where they moved to Parma, Idaho and resided until his passing.
Michael is survived by his wife Sarah, three children Lily, Noah, Hayden, his parents Todd and Nola Campbell, sister Chantel Brown, brother Tyler Campbell, grandparents Marilyn Campbell, Garth and Bonnie Gunderson, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is proceeded in death by his daughter Ally Campbell and grandpa Fredrick Campbell.
Mikes Funeral service will be held on January 7, 2023 with visitation starting at 10:00 am and the memorial service beginning at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Parma, Idaho at 307 East Andrews Avenue. Mike was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed scouts, hunting, fishing, camping, and four wheeler riding. Because of his love for the outdoors, he was always “dangerously prepared”. His greatest joys where his wife and children. Mike lived a full life in a short amount of time and though he is sorely missed, he is remembered fondly for the way he loved others and his kind heart.
