Mary Lou Crane passed away quietly at the age of 93 at her residence in the Copper Springs Senior Living facility in Meridian, Idaho. Mary Lou was born at home in Bennington, Idaho, on March 11, 1930, to Mahonri and Mable (Merrill) Crane.She grew up in Bennington and lived in Freedom Wyoming, Las Vegas, Mountain Home, Cambridge, and Boise, Idaho.

Mary Lou worked at Boise State University from 1970 to 1992 for the Housing Department, and after retirement, she volunteered at the Elks Rehab System for many years where she received the Shining Star Award.  She also belonged to the Red Hat Society and volunteered many positions at her church.

Along the way, she traveled to Hawaii, Mexico, and seven countries in Europe – Ireland being her favorite.  She also enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and sailing.

Mary Lou is survived by two sons – Roger and Eric (Linda); three daughters – Barbara, Penny (Dale), and Mary Gay (Rodger); nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her three ex-husbands, and one son – Michael.
