Maruja Rodriguez Ledesma – Born August 15, 1936, in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. She is preceded in death by her mother, Concepcion Iglesias, and her father Teodoro Rodriguez, and by her siblings Luis, Pilar, Obdulia and Pepe, and her husband Ernesto “Ernie” Ledesma. They were married in 1960 and the couple moved to America, where they spent several years in Navy housing during Ernie’s Navy career, then settled in Carson, California where they lived for 34 years. In 2000, they followed their children and moved to Eagle, Idaho where they would spend the next 22 years enjoying their family legacy and watching it grow. Unfortunately, death parted Maruja from Ernie in January 2022, after 61 years of marriage.
Maruja Ledesma passed away peacefully on August 6 th from complications from Alzheimer’s. She is survived by her son Roy (and Sharon) Ledesma, and her daughter Janet (and Rob) Tatilian; and by her 7 grandchildren – Kristen Tatilian, Lauren Tatilian Hannum, Teo (and Allison) Ledesma, Samantha (and Tanner) Tatilian-Chapman, Sam (and Brooke) Ledesma, Max Ledesma, and Samuel Tatilian; and her 3 great granddaughters Harper, Ophelia, and Logan.
Memorial service will take place on August 19 th , 2023, at Holy Apostles Church in Meridian, Idaho at 10:00 AM, this day would have been her 87 th birthday, please wear her favorite colors pink and yellow to celebrate her life. Interment ceremony will be Monday August 21 st. at 10:00 AM at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, where she will join Papa in eternity.
