In the early hours of April 19, 2025, with his wife, son and dog by his side, Mark returned home to his Lord and savior Jesus Christ at the age of 70.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Kathy, son Josh, daughter in law Hilary, three grand kids (Alexa, Grace and Kyle) as well as two great grandsons (Tyson Joshua (TJ) and Damon), his dog Olive and a large extended family and close friends.
I was blessed to meet this amazing man and fall in love having over 33 wonderful years together. He loved his family so much, he was so proud of his son Josh and the man he has become. Mark loved being a husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa and great friend.
Mark was a great man that loved people and never met a stranger; he was the kind of person that would give you anything if you needed it. He lived a life that was defined by faith, love, family and service to others.
He loved being active, hated sitting still. If he wasn’t eating or sleeping, you can bet he was outside, tending to his beautiful yard, fishing, biking, hiking, floating the Boise River or just chatting away with neighbors and friends. He was a very social person and loved his coffee/breakfast buddies. He would greet everyone with a smile and upbeat spirit and if you ever wondered where he was, you would just sit still and wait for the whistling!
We will miss him greatly; the only solace is knowing that the worn-out body (earth suit) he inhabited that kept him from doing the things he loved has been shed and a new heavenly body is his and he is active once again and surrounded by loved ones. Hopefully there is French’s mustard in Heaven.
We love you Mark
