Marilyn K. Lundgren, born 11-30-1937, passed peacefully 1-4-2024 surrounded by loving family at her home in Nampa, ID. She was an incredibly loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Married to Gerald P. Lundgren for 60 years, she had many close friends and family in the Treasure Valley and Round Valley where they called home for many years.  Marilyn and Gerald had a 10-acre farm off S. Cloverdale and did the hard work of raising sheep and cattle before moving to their cabin full time off Clear Creek in Cascade, Idaho in 1997.

Prior to retirement, Marilyn worked in the medical field as a nurse for several physicians. She was an avid supporter of her husband Gerald “Jerry” Lundgren #81 during his longstanding career as a Super Modified Racecar driver. They travelled all over the Western U.S. and Canada on the racing circuit where they met and befriended many drivers, their families, and fans of the racing community. Marilyn was a devoted Boise State Broncos Football fan and could be found in the stands during most home games. She deeply loved caring for and spoiling her grandchildren and watching them at play during summers and winters at the cabin.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her son Mike Van Vleet in August 2023 after a long battle with ALS.  She is survived by her husband (Jerry), daughter Terri Clymer (Roy), daughter-in-law Carol Van Vleet, stepson Rick Lundgren (Deb) step Daughter Lori Olson, grandchildren (Andrea, Hilary, Sean, Jason, Adam, Cody, Eric, Randy, Derek) and many great-grandchildren. She loved her miniature dachshunds Katie, Hunter, Freddy and Buddy.
