Marie Alta Dehlin passed away on June 13, 2024, at Saint Alphonsus Hospital, in Boise, Idaho.
Marie was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1940, then moved to Saint Anthony, Idaho as a young child. As a junior in high school, her family moved to Lancing, Michigan where Marie graduated high school. After approximately 2 years in Michigan, the family returned to Idaho, where Marie attended Boise Junior College. At about the same time, she worked at a local stockbroker’s office where she met Ron Dehlin, who would eventually become her husband of 63 years.
The couple were married in Boise in 1961 and were life-long residents of Idaho having lived in Lewiston, Twin Falls, Idaho Falls, and Boise. Marie enjoyed spending time with her siblings, children, and grandchildren. Holidays were particularly special times, and she will be missed. Marie was preceded in death by her mother Alta, father Russell, sister Susan, and husband Ron. Marie is survived by her sister Jennie, brother Chuck, sons Mike and Paul, daughter-in-law Chris, and grandchildren Emma and Nate.
Services will be held for Marie on Monday, July 8, 2024, at the Veterans Administration Cemetery located at 10100 N Horseshoe Bend Road, Boise, Idaho 83714 at 10:00 AM (sharp).
