Marianne passed away Friday November 7, 2025 with her family at her side at St Lukes Boise. Marianne joined her husband, Manuel.

Marianne was born on December 10, 1949 to Joe Larrondo and Carmen Bilbao Larrondo and grew up in Meridan, ID, where she spent her early years on the Larrondo family farm, doing chores and helping around the farm. She would help her mom can all types of veggies and fruit, and also helped her mom sell eggs to local markets.

Marianne attended Bishop Kelly High School graduating in 1968. She later attended school in San Francisco to get her license to become a CNA.

Marianne met Manuel Madariaga in 1972, they married on June 2,1973 and later settled in Nampa, where she worked in various nursing homes before going to work at the Idaho State School and Hospital where she worked for 35 years before retiring in September 2010. While employed for the State School and Hospital, she attended many of the Special Olympics of Idaho and other events, where she would help accompany the “kids”, as she referred to them, from the hospital.

Marianne enjoyed camping and road trips with her kids Nicolas and Lisa, and loved sharing stories about her trips to the Basque country in Spain. She was a long time member of the Euzkaldunak of Boise, and enjoyed attending numerous San Inazio and Jaialdi festivals, and monthly member dinners.

Marianne was proceeded in death by her husband Manuel, her parents Joe and Carmen Larrondo, her brothers Dick and Ray, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her son Nicolas, daughter Lisa, grandson Caden, sister Lori (Curt), sister-in-law Cindy Larrondo and numerous family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
